Terms and conditions

These terms govern participation in the tours organised by Etna Guide Project (Daniele Emmi, sole trader, VAT 06179350878, volcanological guide listed in the regional register under no. IT82D00081), departing from Piano Provenzana, Etna North.

Bookings are requested through the form on this website or by WhatsApp message, and are confirmed upon the guide's confirmation message. Payment happens on the morning of the tour, by card or cash, unless otherwise agreed.

The guide reserves the right to change, postpone or cancel the tour if weather conditions or changes in volcanic activity endanger participants' safety. If cancelled, the participant may choose between a full refund and a new date.

The age shown on each tour page is recommended, not a limit: it reflects the route and the elevation change, and the final assessment rests with the guide on the day. Minors take part accompanied by an adult, who is responsible for them throughout the tour.

The participant declares to have the fitness level indicated on the tour page and the mandatory gear required (hiking boots, jacket, water, food; headlamp where required).

Participation is not permitted for people with cardiac or respiratory conditions, nor during pregnancy beyond two months. Participants must inform the guide of any relevant condition before departure.

During the tour the participant must follow the volcanological guide's instructions, stay on the indicated route and use the required gear. Failure to comply may result in exclusion from the tour without refund, to protect the group's safety.

Payment happens on the morning of the tour: if you cancel you owe nothing and there are no penalties. We do ask you to confirm your booking within the 24 hours before departure, and to let the guide know on WhatsApp as soon as you know you cannot come, so the place goes back to someone else. This applies to every tour.

These terms are governed by Italian law. Where required by consumer law, the consumer's court has jurisdiction.
